British Airways is a premier airline with a vast fleet of modern aircraft. Frequent Flyer Programme
The British Airways Executive Club offers rewards in the form of Avios points for frequent flyers. Joining is free; points may be earned by staying at specific hotels, shopping at certain retail outlets, and booking specific flights. Points may be redeemed when booking flight, flight upgrades, and international flights. Points accumulated can be tracked on the British Airways Executive Club portal.
Baggage allowance varies from flight number and airline ticket that is whether the flight is local or international.
- Economy class travellers may take one checked carry bag on-board not exceeding 23kg. Bags exceeding the weight allowance will incur a “Heavy Bag Charge” of R250, payable at the airport. Note that bags exceeding the maximum weight limit of 32kg will not be allowed on-board and must be sent via cargo.
- Business class travellers may take two checked carry bags on-board that each does not exceed 32kg. This benefit also applies to Gold and Silver Executive Club Members regardless of the compartment they are travelling in. Customers making the same booking as Silver or Gold Members will also be entitled to 2 bags each not exceeding 32kg.
- All excess baggage may be carried on-board but will be subject to a surcharge of R350 payable at the airport.

Children and Infant Fair’s
Special arrangements have to be made if children are travelling alone. In the special case of travelling with an infant an unabridged birth certificate and identifications documents will be required. Please be sure that you are familiar with this new requirement as you will not be allowed to travel without the prerequisite documents.
